Progressive Centre advisory board chair Chuka Umunna MP launched his pamphlet: "What are Progressives For?". Backed up by research from Opinium, we covered issues from a ringfenced tax to fund the NHS, national community service for young people, and equalising pay between workers and CEOs.
In partnership with Progress New Zealand, Progressive Centre UK hosted a public discussion in Wellington on the rise of populism across the globe. Participants discussed the economic, social and cultural drivers behind the rise of populists, as well as the the progressive policies that can best respond to them.
As members of the Global Progress network, we partnered in 2018 summit meeting, "Back to the Future: Work, Society and Democracy in the Digital Age", alongside our hosts Canada 2020, the Center for American Progress and other progressive foundations and think tanks from across the globe.
